Connecting a growing hospital with reliable internal transport

For a hospital in Panama, Telecom Tube Systems and local partner Servicios de Leon expanded an existing pneumatic tube system to integrate newly constructed hospital buildings into the existing logistics network. The project enabled the hospital's transport infrastructure to grow alongside its expanding healthcare facilities.

The challenge

As the hospital expanded through multiple construction phases, the existing pneumatic tube system had to be extended to connect thirteen new departments with the central laboratory and the rest of the hospital.

Because parts of the infrastructure and original system design had been installed years earlier, integrating the new buildings required detailed engineering, careful planning and precise coordination.
