For Metro Cash & Carry in Moldova, Telecom Tube Systems and local partner Telecom One delivered a new pneumatic tube installation for secure internal cash transport. Through careful project planning, the store remained fully operational throughout the modernisation.

The challenge

The existing installation had reached the end of its service life and needed to be replaced without affecting normal store activities.

Because the store had to remain open throughout the project, all installation work was carried out during night shifts. This required meticulous planning, efficient execution and a solution that was fully operational again every morning.

A reliable cash transport solution

Telecom Tube Systems and Telecom One were selected for their combination of reliable technology, competitive pricing and strong regional support.

The project included the installation of a new single-line pneumatic tube system consisting of twelve manual stations and one Luna station. The new installation replaced the existing system with a more robust and future-proof solution for secure internal cash transport.

Modernisation without downtime

The system replacement was completed successfully without interrupting daily store operations. Employees continued their work uninterrupted while the installation was replaced in carefully planned phases.

The successful implementation not only improved the reliability of internal cash transport but also created the opportunity for a follow-up project at another Metro Cash & Carry store in Balti.
